Let's Work Together
Are you entering midlife wondering about your next chapter? A recent college graduate navigating the challenges of launching your adult life? Someone experiencing challenges in your relationship? Let's be honest, in our productivity-obsessed society, it's easy to get bogged down in the day-to-day routines of our lives and not take time to prioritize our wellbeing. Here's what I know: taking time out of your week to intentionally focus on yourself in therapy can help. A lot. Imagine therapy as a steadfast lighthouse, guiding you through life's stormy seas. It offers a safe harbor where you can pause, reflect on your journey, and chart a new course with renewed clarity and confidence

Though I will use and share specific techniques with you during our sessions, research (and my own experience) shows that successful therapy depends upon on a strong therapeutic relationship. Fostering a therapeutic space where you feel genuinely understood, safe, and hopeful is my top priority.

Warmest wishes as you take this step towards wellness.
My Approach
I believe that we all experience times of struggle or tension in our lives where our thoughts, feelings, and/or behaviors feel out of step with our 'ideal self', causing us discomfort and distress. Sometimes we need to revisit the origins of our 'ideal self' and make adjustments, and other times what is needed is self-compassion and acceptance of our messy humanness. Regardless of the path, I believe every one of us has the innate ability to heal ourselves; sometimes we just need someone to walk alongside us.

Areas of Expertise
At Harborlight Counseling, I offer online individual counseling for adults 18+ using VSee, a secure telehealth platform.
Life Transitions
Life's transitions can be both exciting and challenging. Whether you're facing a significant life change or simply feeling overwhelmed, therapy can provide the support and guidance you need. Through therapy, you can gain clarity, set realistic goals, and develop effective coping strategies to navigate these transitions with greater ease.
Grief
The loss of a loved one is a profound experience. As the saying goes, "Grief is love that has nowhere to go." Therapy can help you process your loss, allowing you to eventually remember your loved one with more joy than sorrow.
Anxiety
Anxiety can feel overwhelming, leaving you feeling trapped in a cycle of worry and fear. This constant state of unease can impact your daily life, relationships, and overall well-being. In therapy, you can learn effective coping strategies, develop healthy thought patterns, and learn to better regulate your emotions.
